FAQ: Attendance and absences

Attendance policy

The instructors do not take attendance. We recognize that as adults in Continuing Education classes you have a full schedule and emergencies can and will happen.

Absence and make-up work

That said, please be aware that this course is not a "distance learning" course. Instruction takes place in the classroom labs, not on the Internet.

Unfortunately, the instructors are not available for individualized instruction, before, during or after class. However, the instructor notes and related areas of your textbook are always available for independent study. The instructor and student exercises are typically uploaded to the server at the end of each class. These files are available for any student to view to see exactly what was covered in class. Do the suggested examples or "make-up" your own, and incorporate the examples into your sample web site.

Assigned seats

Seats are assigned on a first-come first-serve basis. If you desire to change your seat after the first day, please negotiate with your fellow classmates for a swap. Be ready to take no for an answer.

Assigned classes

Classes are permanently assigned by Continuing Professional Education. Students are admitted only to the session for which they enrolled. No exceptions.
